Compass Rose Strategic Advisor Ken Canam brings 32 years of experience in the public sector and a deep understanding of the development and implementation of the federal government’s information technology transformation.

A key architect of Shared Services Canada’s (SSC) much-lauded digital response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ken was tapped by senior officials at SSC to assume unprecedented responsibility when the pandemic hit. Most recently, as one of SSC’s Senior Assistant Deputy Ministers of Client Service Delivery and Management, Ken had the overarching responsibility for IT service delivery for citizen and business-facing departments. In his previous role as a Director General, he was responsible for IT service delivery for all of SSC’s 43 partner departments.

Before joining SSC, Ken held senior management positions in information technology systems, networking, security and project management at the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, Communications Security Establishment, and the CRA.
