Ken Polk

With 30 years’ experience in senior positions in federal politics and the public service, Ken is a public affairs strategist with expertise in speechwriting and regulatory and crisis communications.

He has broad experience in planning communications involving multiple departments and levels of government. Previously, Ken served as chief speechwriter, deputy director of communications and legislative assistant to Prime Minister Jean Chrétien. In 2006, he joined the public service as a communications manager at Health Canada. He advanced to the post of director of regulatory communications at Health Canada in 2012 and then director general of health strategic communications in 2015.

He joins Compass Rose to help clients generate the best messages in order to advance their public policy file.
