Kristina Davis
Lead Public Affairs Counsellor
With more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience in the public and private sectors, Kristina is an expert in building brands and driving growth.
A proven executive with an exceptional track record of shaping vision and setting direction for successful global marketing and communications campaigns, Kristina is also a celebrated relationship builder and strategic public relations practitioner who creates meaningful connections to inspire the achievement of common goals.
At Compass Rose, Kristina is developing fresh approaches to supporting clients — especially those in the defence and security community — focusing on strategic planning, communications and government relations.
She started her career at the Department of National Defence (DND), where she led the Army's rebranding, supported several deployed operations, served as part of the Afghanistan Task Force, and managed Outreach and Stakeholder Relations for the Canadian Army. While at DND, she also led high-profile programs like Canada Army Run, helping to raise millions of dollars for ill and injured soldiers and their families by leveraging social media and storytelling tools at a time when neither was mainstream in government.
After her public service tenure, Kristina stepped into increasingly senior roles, first with a major international defence contractor and more recently with an Ottawa-based company with lines of business spanning defence, healthcare, and cybersecurity. Her leadership was instrumental in building the corporate communications function, leading crisis communications, and linking the business to community and philanthropic endeavours. An innovative leader, Kristina excels at devising creative solutions to drive business growth, strengthening brand presence, and developing compelling narratives which played a pivotal role in winning Canadian and international defence contracts.
Kristina is a dedicated advocate for the next generation of leaders, actively engaging with Women in Defence and Security (WiDS). She has served as a mentor in their inaugural National Mentoring Program and their annual Speed Mentoring event. Her commitment to the military community is evident in her roles on the Team Rubicon Canada and Natasha’s Wood Foundation board of directors.
You can find her camping or travelling with her husband Blair and dog Vivian in her free time.
