Kyra is driven by a passion for strategic problem-solving and increasing youth engagement in Canadian politics.

Kyra has experience working on Parliament Hill for two MPs, where she honed her solutions-oriented nature and developed significant communications skills through liaising with constituents, engaging in policy discussions and organizing office logistics. Having also worked on a number of electoral campaigns, Kyra understands how to navigate the federal political environment.

She previously worked for a prominent Ottawa-based think tank, where she coordinated events, conducted interviews with federal decision-makers, and drafted reports for publication.

Kyra served for several years as an executive member of her university’s campus club for the youth wing of a major political party, where she led on executive functions such as planning, outreach to federal and provincial decision-makers, coordination and overseeing special events.

As a former executive member of the Ontario Youth Parliament, she helped to organize an annual province-wide conference, bringing together young Ontarians to draft and present legislative proposals to debate and vote on in a mock parliament.

Kyra holds an honours bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Ottawa, where she focused on international relations and security studies.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running and hiking in Gatineau Park.
