Public Affairs Counsellor

Melissa has spent the last 15 years working in the highest levels of both the private sector and government, working in many of the country’s key business sectors including professional services, technology and health services. With extensive experience working with C-suite leaders as well as experience as a senior staffer in both government and opposition, she has developed an ability to bridge strategic communications and policy change in a way that drives meaningful engagement and relationship-building for her clients. 

From working in a federal election war room in Ottawa to corporate reputation building and executive visibility on Bay Street, Melissa has developed an expertise that reflects a deep understanding of both the public and private sectors. As a public affairs counsellor at Compass Rose, Melissa draws on that expertise to serve clients across a number of industries. 

Prior to joining Compass Rose, Melissa owned her own consulting firm where she worked with a diverse range of clients on integrated engagement strategies to advance business strategy, and previously served in a senior role at a national public affairs firm.

Melissa is a baseball fan (go Jays!), and loves to travel with her husband and two kids -  particularly if it involves going somewhere she can surf.
