Shirlee is a seasoned multi-platform media and communications strategist with more than 15 years of experience, specializing in storytelling, media relations, crisis communications and public policy.

As an award-winning television news correspondent for Global News, Shirlee covered domestic and international politics, federal budgets, election campaigns, public policy and the economy. Her work on veterans issues and mental health was closely watched on Parliament Hill and led to changes in federal policy.

Shirlee most recently applied her extensive experience in the non-profit sphere, leading media relations for the Canadian branch of a global organization focused on fighting inequality and promoting women’s rights.

Shirlee joins Compass Rose with a passion for building relationships and helping great organizations and businesses navigate the noise to get the traction and attention they deserve.
