Tina Romito

Tina Romito has spent her career helping Canadians understand politics and our political landscape. As an award-winning journalist and communications professional, Tina has nearly two decades of experience covering Parliament Hill, along with national emergencies, wars, general elections and complex legislation that have redefined Canada. Her passion for storytelling has also taken her around the world covering natural disasters, Olympics and major political events.
Tina’s career as a television producer with CTV News encompassed multiple roles, including senior producer of the network’s flagship daily political show, field work domestically and abroad and lead coordinating producer covering major news events. Her final role with the network was as bureau manager, where she oversaw the daily operations, editorial content and technical requirements of the network’s Parliamentary Bureau.
After nearly two decades in journalism, Tina applied her formidable communication and management skills in the non-profit sector.
Tina brings to Compass Rose a keen ability to digest complex and emerging issues, then distill the facts into compelling narratives that capture and inform diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Compass Rose is proud to have been awarded the communications and secretariat mandate for the Coalition for a Better Future in 2022. As part of this ongoing work, Tina is Compass Rose’s lead on this file and is deeply involved with the Coalition and its membership. She also leverages her expertise in operations and project management in her role with the organization.
Tina holds an Honours Bachelor of Journalism and Political Science degree from Carleton University.
